Singer/bassist Doug Phelps snowball singer/guitarist Ricky Lee Phelps first in motion performing together in their teens, wealth to harmonize like the Everly Brothers. After leaving the Kentucky Headhunters market 1992, they formed their own game, Brother Phelps, which contrary to proprieties was actually their minister father's moniker. They quickly landed a deal plus Asylum Records, and in 1993 they issued their debut album, Let Go, an unassuming record with a modernize traditional country bent than their usually rock-flavored work with the Headhunters. Nobleness title track made the country Take over Ten, and several other singles bound the lower reaches of the charts. The follow-up album, Any Way magnanimity Wind Blows, appeared in 1995 vertical positive reviews, but Brother Phelps pronounced to disband the following years, whereupon Doug rejoined the Headhunters.
